A is for... what?!?!??
The other day I found this on Facebook:
Of course I find this incredibly humorous being a relatively geeky person. However, there's another whole reason why I find this so funny.
We did this really cool thing where before deployment, Chris recorded himself reading a bunch of books to Axton, and we can play them on the iPad while he's gone. It's called "A Story Before Bed," and you can see the virtual book on the iPad with a little frame that has video and audio of Chris reading. What was even better is that it was free for the military. It turned out so well and it looks like this:
I was really excited about this book in particular... A to Z at the Earth Museum sounds so perfect. I mean come on, what could be better?? Chris reading to his son about a science museum and teaching the ABC's even though he's so far away. Such a cute concept. Anyway, so Chris gets to Page 1:
That's right. A is for Axolotl. My guess is that Axton will be approximately 5 years old before he can even say that word, and will be another 5 years before he can spell it. You can see Chris laughing, and I think he referred to the book as "Varsity." Really? Axolotl? For a child's book? How about butterfly conservatory?? No, not just butterfly, but butterfly conservatory. Alas, I suppose Axton will be a little smarty pants by the time he's a toddler.

A blog exclusive
It was hard not to put this one on Facebook but I want to provide satisfaction to those who actually come check out the blog. :) Cuties. PS- note Axton giving me "the look."

The dirty 'stache
Apparently it is tradition for the boys on deployment to grow out their mustaches. Here is an entertaining picture of Chris's.
With the hat he looks a little... well I don't even know what to say. :) Enjoy. :)

Smiles
At this point, it's the little things that tickle me. Since he's not doing a lot except for the standard trifecta (eating, sleeping, pooping), catching Ax smile for a brief moment was quite a source of entertainment that provided me with fulfillment for many hours to follow.

Roll over!
No, not the dog. Ax shows off his random baby moves and rolls from his stomach during some supervised tummy time.
The little one meets Bowser
Axton Spencer joined us on July 25th, 2012, coming in at 9 pounds 5.5 ounces, and 20 1/4 inches tall. He has 100% stolen my heart. He's still working on Bowser's. Here are the boys meeting each other for the first time. :)

Stoned Bowser
Haha, this video is better if you've ever met Bowser. However, it's still relatively humorous if you haven't. He had to get some X-rays that required anesthesia and I brought him home still a little woozy from the sedative. Poor, poor stoned puppy.

The Ike
That's the Ike in the middle of this shot. Pretty cool (and totally stolen off the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Facebook page). Chris would LOVE LOVE LOVE to receive letters, care packages, postcards, etc. You can reach him here:

Also, he is usually able to access his regular email, but in times of tighter security you can get him here: christopher.mozer@cvw7.navy.mil.

6 months. I think I need a new house.
So we put an offer in on a(nother) (different) house. This is me taking pictures of the new digs, belly and all. I think it's a good idea to move when you're 7 months pregnant. Don't you?
