Sleepy Ax

Catching Ax falling asleep not in his car seat or crib is an EXTREMELY rare occurrence.  So of course I have to document it so that I can watch it over and over and over again.  And laugh my ass off.

By the way, Chris is vacuuming.  It was just too much work for Ax apparently.

Bye

About twice a month I have evening meetings for work, which suuuuuuuuck.  Bad.  And this is why.  This is what I have to leave at home in order to go to work at about 6:30 p.m.  You try saying goodbye to this, I dare you.

Squeaker!!!!

After a quick jaunt through the wet morning dew-covered grass, Ax regains his nickname.  I was losing hope on the relevancy of calling him "Squeaker," since he stopped making squeaky sounds at around 3 months or so.  Alas, it's back. :)

Beachin' it

A couple of boring, non-interesting videos, just because a) he's cute and b) it's been awhile.

Toy overload

Ax walking from one toy to the next:

Birthday fun!!

Photos not posted to Facebook. :)

Mom and Dad help themselves to some cake.

The look on Ax's face is priceless: he's like "Heeeeyyyyy...."

One cool dude:

Runaway baby!!

Chris is not supporting my whole "no need to encourage him to walk!!  he has plenty of time to learn such skills on his own" mantra. :)

All kinds of fun

Chris and Ax reunited after 4 months apart.  Also Axton's first real fun in the sand at the Jersey Shore.  I heard he didn't eat too much of the gritty stuff.

Go Speed Racer Go!!

I'm SO in trouble.

By the way, note Axton's new (gigantic) shadow.

Axton and Bowser Tug'o'war

So apparently "Angi's Adwentures" has turned into "Ax videos."  But I don't even care.  No one on Facebook really wants to see 134,723 videos of Axton, so I can't post them there.  But my mom does.  So here they reside.

:)

Here is Axton's (and as a result, Bowser's) new favorite pastime: playing with Bowser's toys.  Bowser is in loooove with his newfound playmate and brings his toys to him ALL. THE. TIME.

Mirror play

Axton making out with himself. :)

Good morning!!

Not a bad way to start the day.  Please ignore the trashed temporary blinds on the nursery doors.

More laughing...

Because it's just too damn cute not to share.

Splashtime- I mean bathtime

No worries- the buddha belly provides a physical umbrella over any inappropriateness.  :)

Wutchu lookin' at Willus?

I'm going back in time here, but I can't help it.  This series of pictures is from when Ax was about a month old.  It perfectly captured how he looked at me ALL. THE. TIME.

Can I start potty training at 6 months?

Big  news- we have started Axton on solid foods.  It was such an exciting day- I practically beamed in the grocery store picking up my first $1.50 box of rice cereal.  I was so thrilled to mix up a runny bowl for the first time and set up the video camera for our start to the process of learning how to feed & eat from a spoon.  Now, a few weeks later, we are at about 2 tablespoons of cereal and 1 tablespoon of squash, all mixed up with breastmilk.  I've tasted it- it's not so bad really.  Now enter the adage "what goes in must come out." I am seriously questioning physics.  How is it that the sweet concoction going in comes out so horrid, inducing my gag reflex?  And I'm not exactly sure how only 3 tablespoons going in equals, um, a LOT more than 3 tablespoons coming out.  And to top it all off, I was chatting with the daycare ladies and relaying my experience.  Their response? "Oh honey you haven't seen anything yet."

Surely we can start on potty training, so as to avoid this doomed future of mine.  Right?  I'm not so sure I can handle yearS of worse conditions.  Axton might not be able to use sign language to say "milk" and "eat" quite yet, let alone um, crawl, but I'm positive I can teach him some sort of sign that he has to go #2, right?  Maybe?  Hopefully?
